Malaika Arora shared her first statement after her father’s death

Actor Malaika Arora has shared an official statement on behalf of her family following the death of her father Anil Mehta.
Malaika took to her Instagram account on Wednesday, September 11 and posted the statement asking for privacy from the media during this difficult time “We are deeply saddened to announce the death of our beloved father Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband and our best. Friend Our family is in deep mourning over this loss and we request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time,” his statement said.
“We appreciate your understanding, support and respect. With gratitude, Joyce, Malaika, Amrita, Shakeel, Arhaan, Azaan, Ryan, Casper, AXL, Duffy and Buddy,” Malaika added.
Varun Dhawan slams paparazzi for pointing cameras at bereaved people, calling their actions insensitive. Taking to his Instagram stories on Wednesday, Varun expressed his annoyance and frustration as he wrote, “Showing a camera in the face of someone who is sad is the most sensitive thing, please.”
“Please consider what you are doing and how it affects the bereaved. I understand it is your job, but remember that people may not be comfortable with it,” he added. Varun also included the hashtag #humanity in his post.
Kareena Kapoor Khan visited Malaika Arora’s father’s house after her death on Wednesday. The actress was with her husband actor Saif Ali Khan to offer their heartfelt condolences. Several celebrities including Arjun Kapoor, Malaika’s ex-husband Arbaaz Khan, actor Chunky Pandey and her daughter Ananya Pandey were also spotted visiting their house.
The Khan family visited Malaika on Wednesday. Sohail Khan, along with his parents Salim Khan and Salma Khan were seen entering his father’s house as photographers gathered around. Earlier in the day, the Mumbai police said that Malaika’s father’s death, “primarily,” appears to be a suicide, and that all angles of the case are being investigated.
DCP Crime Branch Raj Tilak Roshan told the media that the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem. He also said that police and forensic teams are investigating.
The body of Anil Mehta (62) was found. He lived on the 6th floor. We are conducting further investigation and our team is here. We are investigating all angles in detail. Our team is here, the forensic team is also here. The body is being taken for postmortem. We are investigating everything in detail. Initially, it appears to be suicide, we are conducting further investigation.
Malaika Arora was not at home when her father died. The actor-model was reportedly in Pune and returned to Mumbai soon after learning about the incident.
