Farhan Akhtar to play Major Shaitan Singh in ‘120 Bahadur’, shooting begins in Ladakh

Actor Farhan Akhtar will play Param Vir Chakra recipient Major Shaitan Singh 120 BahadurA military action film set against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China war, the makers said on Wednesday.
According to the makers, the upcoming movie draws inspiration from the battle of Rejang La, where the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment displayed unparalleled courage, valor and sacrifice.
120 Bahadur Presented by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan’s Excel Entertainment in association with Amit Chandra’s Trigger Happy Studios.
The first shoot schedule of the film is starting today in Ladakh.
Excel Entertainment shared the announcement on its official X page.
“What they have done will never be forgotten. It is an absolute privilege to bring you the story of Major Shaitan Singh PVC and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment.
“Known as the Battle of Rezang La, fought on 18 November 1962 during the Sino-Indian War, it is a story of extraordinary courage, valor and selflessness shown by our men in uniform against all odds,” the banner said. post
The makers expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for their support in “bringing this incredible story of heroism to the screen”.
“We start making this film today with complete humility and utmost respect for the people we represent. 120 Bahadur,” they said.
Rajneesh Ghai, known for Dhakad Produced by Excel Entertainment, the film will be directed by Kangana Ranaut.
Last week, Farhan said he was in Ladakh to shoot for a “special film”.
Farhan, who had earlier shot for his film aim (2004) and Share Milkha share (2013) in the Highlands, teased the update in an Instagram post.
“Back to Ladakh later aim And Share Milkha share To shoot for a very special film,” he captioned a photo of the lovely locals of the union territory.
